Description
Veronicastrum virginicum ‘Apollo’ is a lovely, tall, back of the border, late-flowering clumper that loves moist feet and good sun. The elegant flowers look like lavender-purple candelabras in the garden. Plants bulk up with time offering large clumps of lavender spires and attractive foliage whorled at regular intervals along the stems. Becomes more drought tolerant with age. A Canadian native from Manitoba east to Nova Scotia and south to Florida. Popular with bees and butterflies. Deer resistant.
