Description
Sedum ‘Mr Goodbud’ is an award-winning stonecrop with denser buds resulting in large flower clusters up to four inches wide when in bloom. Strong, rosy stems support the flower heads that start out pink maturing to a rich, dark mauve. Contrasting foliage is tight and mostly green with scarlet edges on its upper leaves. Plants have a vase-like habit 18 inches tall with a 14 inch width. Upright stonecrops are useful nearly year round: mounds of succulent new growth in early spring, structural upright clumps through summer, heads of showy flower heads in late summer and fall, and dried flower stems in winter. Use in the border and container, as a mass planting, and for cut and dried flowers. Provides seed for overwintering birds. Popular with bees and butterflies. Deer resistant.
