Description
Sanguisorba officinalis ‘Pink Tanna’ is a stately great burnet displaying masses of deep pink, bottlebrush flowers with pale pink stamens blooming on slender stems atop neat mounds of gray-green pinnate foliage. Flowers will sway in the breeze on stems 36 inches tall from plants 18-24 inches wide. Use for verticality and movement as well as a see-through plant placed further to the front of the border than a perennial of its size would normally be planted. Appreciates moist, well-drained soil. Use in the pollinator, cottage, informal, and wildflower gardens, in borders, containers, and the vase. Pollinator attractor. Deer and rabbit resistant. A Canadian native to the Yukon, Northwest Territories and BC.
