Description
Rhododendron ‘Edith Bosley’ features large, rounded trusses of rich purple funnel-shaped flowers flushed with magenta with purple-black spots in the throats. Long, oval-shaped glossy dark green foliage is longer-lasting up to 3 years. Growth habit is spreading and open with a mature height of 8 feet high and wide. Responds well to pruning after flowering. Benefits from evenly moist, well-drained, slightly acidic-based soil and mulch. Use as an informal hedge, accent, foundation, mass planting and for winter interest. Attracts bees and bumblebees. Deer and rabbit resistant.
