Description
Punica granatum ‘Eversweet’ is said to be the sweetest of all pomegranates and is virtually seedless. Even immature fruit are sweet which is great for cool climate gardeners with short seasons who can get some edible fruit. The gorgeous orange-red blooms provide a subtropical look. This is a multi-stemmed deciduous shrub that grows up to 10 feet but is easy to keep smaller by pruning. Pomegranates require lots of sun and heat to bloom and fruit. They are self fertile and leaf out in late spring.
