Description
Penstemon digitalis ‘Goldfinger’ is a cold-hardy, low-maintenance beardtongue with unique golden foliage. The young leaves emerge bright gold with red edging and age to to lime-green and then to darker green. In summer, dark red stems up to 30 inches tall hold panicles of delicate pale lavender to white tubular flowers with purple speckles. Great for a vertical element in mixed beds, cottage and rock gardens. Plant in drifts for impressive displays! Hummingbird and pollinator magnet. Deer resistant. A Canadian native from Ontario to Nova Scotia.
