Description
Pennisetum alopecuroides ‘Love and Rockets’ is a small ornamental fountain grass with beauty and versatility for the sunny garden. The dark green foliage develops red highlights through summer and into fall which is topped with pipe cleaner-like, wine red inflorescences in summer maturing to softer shades of red in the fall. Plants wil grow to 24-36 inches tall and wide. Use as a focal point, as a mass planting, in the vase, and as dried flowers. Leave seed heads on for winter interest and for overwintering birds and beneficial insects. Deer and rabbit resistant
