Description
Olea europaea ‘Manzanillo’ is the most important Spanish olive for both oil and fruit. It originated near Seville. It can be used as a green or black table olive or for high quality olive oil that is very sweet and aromatic. The fruit are medium to large with delicious, meaty flesh. Cold and drought tolerant. Possibly partially self-fertile but best to plant with another pollenizer like ‘Frantoio’, ‘Leccino’, ‘Sevillano’, ‘Pendolino’, or ‘Arbequina’.
