Description
Olea europaea ‘Koroneiki’ originated in the southern Peloponnese area of Greece, not far from Kalamata and Mani. It produces small olives that yield an olive oil of exceptional quality that accounts for 50% of Greek production. The oil is green in colour, and very fruity with herbal characters and a touch of bitterness and pungency. The trees have a medium vigour and remain smaller than others making them good for container growing. Self fertile. Also known as ‘Psilolia’, ‘Lianolia’, ‘Vacikior’, and ‘Korani’.
