Description
Lychnis viscaria ‘Cherry Bubbles’, commonly know as the clammy campion or the sticky catchfly, is a compact, dwarf perennial that produces clusters of rich pink blooms with white highlights held in spherical drumsticks over a long bloom period from late spring to late summer. The sticky stems, thought to thwart damage by insects such as ants, will reach 15 inches high on plants 12-15 inches wide. Very cold hardy and tolerant of various soil types. Use in beds and borders, along pathways, in the cottage, wildflower, and dry gardens, and in containers. Pollinator attractor, especially butterflies and bumblebees.
