Description
You’ll likely recognize the old-fashioned Lychnis coronaria or rose campion except when it comes to the double flowers. ‘Gardener’s World’ produces vigorous clumps of silvery, woolly foliage and sturdy stems that hold aloft bright magenta-red, fully double blooms. The flowers are large at up to 1.5 inches across and resemble carnations or small roses. They are sterile so they won’t reseed. Well-drained soil in full sun. Drought tolerant.
