Description
Liriope muscari Isabella is an evergreen lilyturf displaying clumps of dark green, grass-like foliage. Clumps slowly expand by short stolons but are not invasive. Short spikes of small, tightly-packed, pink flowers rise just above the leaves in summer to 12 inches tall on plants up to 16 inches wide. Shiny black berries persist into winter. Tolerant of most soil types, heat and humidity. Versatile in the garden adding colour and lush texture. Use as a ground cover, lawn alternative for very low foot traffic areas, for erosion control on slopes, in mass plantings, along pathways, at the edge of borders, in containers, and as cut flowers. Popular with many pollinators. Deer resistant. Cultivar name: ‘Lirf’.
