Description
Ligularia przewalskii, commonly known as leopard plant, is a handsome woodland plant from northern China with lobed and deeply cut leaves borne on erect black stems forming large clumps that are ornamentally striking in the garden making for a great focal point. The show becomes more dramatic in mid to late summer with tall, sturdy, 4-6 foot high, dark purple-black stems covered in small, golden-yellow flowers. Excellent along streams and ponds and in bog gardens, and at the back of moist borders. Avoid afternoon sun. Pollinator attractor.
