Description
Kniphofia ‘Papaya Popsicle’ is an all-summer bloomer which has a very short compact habit. A prolific bloomer with spikes of flowers the rich orange colour of ripe papayas. Charming, grass-like foliage looks neat all summer. Long-blooming from early summer to early fall with spikes 18-26 inches tall on plants up to 14 inches wide. Use for drama, vertical appeal and textural contrast in the middle of the border or in the pollinator garden, as a specimen or focal point in the border or in a container, and for cut flowers. Prefers hot, dry conditions, and well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established. Popular with hummingbirds and other pollinators. Deer and rabbit resistant.
