Description
Kerria japonica ‘Pleniflora’ is a highly popular and award-winning Japanese species prized for its great beauty and year-round appeal. In spring, the shrub is covered with bright yellow, pom-pom-like flowers inches across resembling small roses two borne on slender, arching stems. The foliage is narrow and light green turning yellow in the fall. A vigorous, suckering deciduous shrub with a growth habit of 8-10 feet tall and wide. Blooms on previous year’s wood so prune in spring after flowering. Remove unwanted suckers. Great in borders, foundation plantings, informal hedges, woodland and naturalized gardens.
