Description
‘Blue Mouse Ears’ is by far the favourite of all miniature hosta. This plantain lily has small, round, blue leaves with a substance so thick you have to feel it to believe it. Slugs will have no interest in this unchewable foliage. The lavender flower buds swell up like little balloons on short scapes before opening in midsummer. A must-have mini hosta for the collector and rock garden enthusiast. 2008 Hosta of the Year! Miniature Hosta are great in shady containers or troughs, at the front of the border, in shady rock gardens, tucked into small spaces, and along pathways. Or mass plant as a small scale ground cover. Dangerous for collectors who will want to have many more than just one! Attracts bees and hummingbirds. Less likely to be of interest to deer with its thick leaves.
