Description
The big, bold and impressive Helleborus Ice n’ Roses Carlotta offers large, outward-facing flowers in creamy white with pink picotee edges and stripes with dark pink reverses. The foliage is thick, leathery, and dark green forming valuable evergreen mounds. Plants will begin to bloom in November in containers or December in the ground with flowers continuing for many months well into spring. A cross between H. x ballardiae and H. x hybridus. The Ice n’ Rose series are the largest of hellebores with huge leaves and flowers on tall stems up to 1.5 feet high. They are excellent for containers or the landscape. Plant in full or part sun, not shade. Deer resistant. Often listed as zone 5 but should grow well in zone 4 with a winter mulch of leaves and/or good snow cover.
