Description
Heliopsis helianthoides ‘Summer Eclipse’ is a false sunflower offering semi-double flowers in unusual shades of burnt orange with yellow tips around a burnt orange cone. The flowers stems are burgundy and the deep green foliage is burgundy infused. Blooms from summer to early fall. The growth habit is upright and compact to 24 to 30 inches tall and wide. Plant en masse for a spectacular effect in the middle of the border, in cottage gardens, in containers, and the vase. Attracts pollinators. Deer resistant. A Canadian native from Saskatchewan to Newfoundland.
