Description
Heliopsis helianthoides ‘Sole Scuro’ is a false sunflower offering great appeal and contrast with its happy single deep yellow flowers with bright orange halos centred with a large burnt orange cone. Flowers rise on dark sturdy stems through its lovely mounds of lance-shaped dark green foliage. Blooms from summer to early fall on compact plants up to 20 inches tall. Plant en masse for a spectacular effect at the front or in the middle of the border, in cottage gardens, in containers, and the vase. Attracts pollinators and birds. Deer resistant. A Canadian native from Saskatchewan to Newfoundland.
