Description
Fagus sylvatica ‘Purple Fountain’ is a special, narrowly pyramidal, weeping beech with dark, shiny, burgundy foliage and rippling stems. It is a great specimen tree for large containers and smaller city gardens. Leaves turn copper in fall. The deciduous form provides elegant sculptural interest in the winter. The deepest colour will be achieved in full sun. Tolerant of dry sites. No pruning required.
