Description
Eucomis Crowning Glory ‘Princess Bride’ is a cold-hardy, compact pineapple lily that provides a tropical-look in the garden! The glossy, broad, strappy foliage with slight, wavy edges first emerges burgundy before turning a deep green while in wait for the unusual flower spikes of late summer. Flowers emerge citron yellow before turning to a blend of soft pink and creamy yellow. The flowers on the inflorescence with a tuft of bracts at the top look like a pineapple. Clump-forming to 18 inches tall with a 24 inch spread. Very easy to grow in free-draining soils and in containers. Full sun for best results. Use as a focal point and as a cut flower. Mulch in winter with fallen leaves or protect in a frost free location in colder zones. Pollinator attractor.
