Description
Echinops sphaerocephalus ‘Arctic Glow’ is a globe thistle that has spiny grey-green leaves and intriguing, spherical, silver-grey flower heads that open into spheres of tiny white florets on branched grey to reddish stems in mid to late summer. The flowers begin to open at the top of the sphere gradually opening until the entire inflorescence is in bloom. Provide consistent moisture but plants are also tolerant of dry conditions. Can re-seed lightly in the garden. Use in the mid to back of the border and in dried flower arrangements. Incredibly popular with bees. Deer and rabbit resistant.
