Description
Diospyros kaki ‘Black Flesh’ Oriole is a unique early-ripening Korean persimmon with abundant crops of very sweet, flavourful, dark red fruit. Early-ripening varieties are particularly good for cool summer climates like the West Coast or other northerly regions with shorter summers. The fruit is astringent and can be eaten when soft and tender like a tomato. Persimmons are one of the most popular fruits in Asia and treasured for fresh eating or desserts. Self-fertile.
