Diospyros kaki ‘Jiro’ is a popular persimmon bearing abundant crops of sweet, flavourful, orange fruit followed by strikingly beautiful, orange-yellow fall foliage. Non-astringent. The fruit can be eaten when firm like an apple or when soft and tender like a ripe tomato or dried. Persimmons are one of the most popular fruits in Asia and treasured for fresh eating or desserts.
