Description
Diospyros kaki ‘Ichi-ki-Kei-Jiro’ is a form of the popular ‘Jiro’ that is the hardiest of the Asian persimmons. It produces abundant crops of delicious, four-lobed, flattened medium to large fruit. Non-astringent. The fruit can be eaten when firm like an apple or when soft and tender like a ripe tomato or dried. Persimmons are one of the most popular fruits in Asia and treasured for fresh eating or desserts. Self-fertile. For the 2025 Citrus Pre-Order these trees are in 5 gallon pots and 5-6 feet high. They cannot be shipped via Canada Post or FedEx. Available only for pick-up or for courier or freight shipping. Photo: Wikimedia.
