Diospyros kaki ‘Early Jiro’ is an early-ripening form of the popular ‘Jiro’ bearing abundant crops of sweet, flavourful, orange fruit followed by strikingly beautiful, orange-yellow fall foliage. Non-astringent. The fruit can be eaten when firm like an apple or when soft and tender like a ripe tomato or dried. Persimmons are one of the most popular fruits in Asia and treasured for fresh eating or desserts. Self-fertile.
