Description
Diospyros kaki ‘Jo Choo’ Cardinal is perhaps the earliest ripening of all Asian persimmon making it an excellent cultivar for cool summer climates like the West Coast or other northerly regions with shorter summers. It bears abundant crops of large, sweet fruit. The fruit is non-astringent and can be eaten when crisp like an apple or when soft and tender like a tomato. Great for fresh eating and drying. Persimmons are one of the most popular fruits in Asia and treasured for fresh eating or desserts. Self-fertile.
