Description
Dahlia ‘Plantinum Blonde’ is known as a powder puff or anemone type dahlia, somewhat resembling that of a double flowered Echinacea. It has an outer row of creamy-white petals surrounding a cream-yellow cushion of shorter petals. Flowers are about 4 inches wide and sit on tall stems 48-60 inches tall. Blooms mid summer to frost. Awesome in the border and as cut flowers. Dahlia are hardy to coastal BC’s winter temperatures but not to winter wet. Protect from rain in free-draining soils, plant in pots that can be moved and protected, or lift and store in a cool, dry, frost free location.
