Description
Dahlia ‘Octopus Sparkle’ is a stunning and unique anemone type with a multi-layer of outer star-shaped red and yellow slender petals surrounding a large, fluffy centre composed of the same colours. Flowers are 3-4 inches wide and displayed on stems up to 40 inches tall. Blooms summer to frost. Awesome in the border and as cut flowers. Dahlia are hardy to coastal BC’s winter temperatures but not to winter wet. Protect from rain in free-draining soils, plant in pots that can be moved and protected, or lift and store in a cool, dry, frost free location.
