Description
Sapphire fumitory is similar to the better-known Corydalis flexuosa and its cultivars but with some marked differences once the similarly exquisite, fragrant, true blue flowers are considered. C. elata is taller, later blooming and does not go dormant in summer. It also has a unique fragrance similar to gardenia mixed with coconut. Use as an accent in the shade border or as a small scale ground cover. Attracts butterflies. Deer resistant.
