Description
Citrus medica ‘Assads’ is a citron that forms fragrant lemon-like fruits with thick peel that are used for the Jewish Feast of the Tabernacles (Sukkot) and known as an etrog. ‘Assads’ is an etrog selection from Morocco dating back at least 2000 years. Our plants have been grown only from own-root cuttings or seed for 2000 years and so are considered Kosher. How’s that for an heirloom cultivar?!
