Description
Brunsvigia pulchra is a distinctive and desirable species with 12 inch tall paintbrush-like clusters of flowers reminiscent of Haemanthus. They are rich rose pink held tightly together in clusters of 30-70 flowers. They bloom in fall followed by the foliage which can number 5-7 prostrate, strap-shaped leaves with red margins. Plant the bulbs with the neck protruding above the soil. This is a non-hardy bulb that can be grown as a houseplant or in a heated greenhouse or sunroom. It’s perfect for those interested in bulbs and houseplants and for succulent lovers looking to branch out. Our nursery-grown bulbs are 3 years old as of 2023 and can reach blooming size around 6-8 years old. Until then the foliage will be fantastic.
