Description
Tatting fern is a most unique form of the lady fern (Athyrium filix-femina) called ‘Frizelliae’. It forms short, arching stipes to just one foot long with alternating, half moon shaped, fringed pinnae (leaflets). The effect makes this fern popular and a sure conversation piece. Tuck it into nooks and crannies in shady walls or amongst rocks, at the front of a shady border, or in the woodland garden. Also looks great in a cute container as a focal point for a table on a shady patio. A great conversation starter for garden guests.
