Description
Add a bit of drama to the garden with Angelica gigas, a giant angelica that has bold, ornamental, highly-divided leaves. Large, crimson-purple, umbrella (umbel) shaped flowers are borne on dark purple stalks rising nearly two metres in height! Sometimes higher in rich, moist soils. Very attractive to pollinators and beneficial insects. Angelica are short-lived perennials or biennials. Allow the seeds to form and fall into the garden. They should gently re-seed here and there in the border producing fun and surprising displays. You can also move young plants about and create your own designs.
