Description
Agave havardiana is an extremely cold hardy century plant that can withstand zone 5. It is native to the Davis Mountains of western Texas into Mexico. It is among the largest of the cold hardy century plants reaching 2-3 feet high and wide with broad, impressive bluish leaves forming imposing and impressive rosettes. A very large number of Canadian gardeners could grow this impressive plant outdoors! But make sure it is grown in sharp drainage in full sun, especially on a slope. In places like the West Coast, hardy agave will benefit from a cover that sheds the rain.
