Zauschneria garrettii Orange Carpet is a short, vigorous ground cover with small, pubescent, light green leaves and terminal clusters of tubular, orange-scarlet flowers that bloom from mid to late summer into fall. The flowers are a hummingbird favourite. Make sure to provide well-drained soil. Tolerant of drought and hot sun. Use in hell strips, at the front of sunny borders, in rock gardens, and in containers. Now known scientifically as Epilobium canum. Cultivar name: ‘Pwwg01s’.
