Vernonia angustifolia ‘Plum Peachy’ is a fantastic prairie perennial known as ironweed with lance-shaped leaves on strong, sturdy stems up to 48 inches tall creating a beautiful shrub-like form. It is a natural pollinator magnet with large airy, nectar rich, umbels of bright purple flowers in late summer to fall when the foliage blushes purple. A stately plant for the back of the border or naturalize in moist, sunny locations. Deer resistant.
