Tulipa ‘Koh-I-Noor’ is a unique historical tulip from 1893 with deepest black-red flowers with subtle shadings of plum purple. It is named for one of the world’s most famous diamonds, the “Mountain of Light”, the 700 year old diamond now part of England’s Crown Jewels. Large hybrid tulips can be maintained in the garden if given a sunny location with rich soil and slow release fertilizer when in growth.
