Thalictrum ‘Elin’ is a gargantuan meadow rue reaching heights of of 8-12 feet with an upward growth rate that might rival bamboos! The strongly upright burgundy stems are clothed in blue-green, columbine-like foliage and topped in summer with sprays of tiny pinkish lavender flowers with prominent lemon yellow stamens emerging from round, balloon-like buds. Definitely a back of the border plant! A hybrid of T. flavum var. glaucum and T. rochebrunianum.
