Streptocarpus ‘Harlequin Purple’

Streptocarpus 'Harlequin Purple' is a Cape primrose and relative of the African violet with bi-coloured flowers of violet and pale yellow.

Streptocarpus is a relative of the African violet commonly known as Cape primrose, but even easier to care for. ‘Harlequin Purple’ delights with large and gorgeously ruffled, tubular creamy-yellow flowers and contrasting rich violet-purple upper hoods with dark magenta eyes and black veining that rise above textured, arching, bright green foliage. Plants are floriferous and can bloom for up to 10 months a year! Grow indoors in bright indirect light in an east or west-facing window or outdoors in the summer on a partly shaded patio. Enjoys high humidity and consistent soil moisture.
