Stephania venosa (rotundifolia) 25-30 Inch Diameter
Stephania venosa (syn. S. rotundifolia) is a caudiciform houseplant producing vines of heart-shaped leaves.

Stephania venosa (syn. S. rotundifolia) is an intriguing novelty houseplant that you’re sure to fall in love with. As a vine, it can grow 15-25 feet with green heart-shaped leaves but usually less. Orange blooms give way to bright red-orange seed pods. The bulb-like woody caudex is truly unique and resembles a wooden turtle sitting on the soil. Foliage often goes dormant in winter but you’re left with the caudex to enjoy. Easy to grow indoors or out in shady, warm conditions coming inside as a houseplant in winter. Can live up to 50+ years. Our 25-30 inch plants are about 17-22 years old. Pictured is the 35-40 inch diameter specimen size. Yours will be a bit smaller.
