Sorbaria sorbifolia ‘Cherry on Top’

Sorbaria sorbifolia 'Cherry on Top' is a false spiraea shrub with beautiful multi-toned foliage and plumes of white flowers.

Sorbaria sorbifolia ‘Cherry on Top’ is a fantastic, super hardy, medium-sized shrub with beautiful young foliage tinged with pink, orange and gold which slowly matures to green. The densely packed leaves are pinnate giving a lacy, ferny effect. White flower plumes are produced in midsummer followed by bright red seed pods in the fall through winter extending the season of interest and providing food for over-wintering birds. Use in borders, mass plantings, on slopes, and in containers. Grows well in sun or light shade in average garden soil that is moist but well-drained. Suckers to make colonies.
