Solanum tuberosum ‘Banana’ (Fingerling)

Solanum tuberosum 'Banana' is a versatile gourmet fingerling potato with yellow flesh.

Solanum tuberosum ‘Banana’ is a gourmet, late season, heirloom fingerling potato. These tubers are smaller than other varieties, oblong with a crescent or banana shape with smooth and waxy yellow skin. The yellow flesh is firm, buttery, moist and tender when cooked. Very high in antioxidants with high yield capacity. Great for boiling, roasting and potato salads. Loose soils are preferable for higher production in the ground or large containers. Plant in early spring while soil is still cool. Hilling up potato plants will increase yield. Matures mid season.
