Solanum tuberosum ‘Alaska Bloom’ is a high yielding potato with smooth yellow skin and creamy white flesh with pink eyes that are shallow in depth. It matures earlier than average and is very high yielding. The tubers are round and of uniform shape and are excellent for boiling, baking, scalloped or as hash browns. Awesome as sweet baby potatoes. Has a lower starch content than most varieties. Loose soils are preferable for higher production in the garden or large containers. Ready in 90-105 days. Hilling up potato plants increases yield.
