Solanum lycopersicum Mighty Mato ‘Sun Sugar’

Mighty Mato grafted tomatoes produce 2-3 times (or more!) fruit than ungrafted plants and are more cold tolerant and disease resistant.

‘Sun Sugar’ is hands down the most popular tomato variety amongst Phoenix Perennials customers and was always in the top 3 in voting at our Heirloom Tomato Festival tastings. It produces orange-yellow cherry tomatoes said to be amongst the sweetest in the world. Crack resistant. 65-75 days. Indeterminate. Mighty Mato grafted tomatoes are hand grafted onto super strong tomato rootstock which provides greater disease resistance, greater cold tolerance (so tomatoes start growing faster in the spring), and great yield. Mighty Mato grafted plants usually produce 2-3 times more fruit than ungrafted plants, a difference that is especially large for heirloom varieties which do not always offer high yields.
