Solanum lycopersicum Mighty Mato ‘Black Krim’

Mighty Mato grafted tomatoes produce 2-3 times (or more!) fruit than ungrafted plants and are more cold tolerant and disease resistant.

‘Black Krim’ has violet-red, slightly flattened, 4-5 inch fruits with near-black shoulders and an intense, smoky flavour. Colour deepens as summer temperatures rise. A huge favourite at our Heirloom Tomato Festival tastings each year. Russian heirloom. 70-90 days. Indeterminate. Mighty Mato grafted tomatoes are hand grafted onto super strong tomato rootstock which provides greater disease resistance, greater cold tolerance (so tomatoes start growing faster in the spring), and great yield. Mighty Mato grafted plants usually produce 2-3 times more fruit than ungrafted plants, a difference that is especially large for heirloom varieties which do not always offer high yields.
