Skimmia japonica

 

Japanese skimmia is an easy-to-grow, evergreen, mounding shrub for shadier situations. It is famous for its winter and early spring bloom that form in white, pink or red buds in the fall opening to white, intensely fragrant flowers in mid to late winter and early spring. Male plants produce large flower clusters while female plants produce small flower clusters followed by orange fruit if pollinated by a male. We carry various cultivars each season. Grow in containers or the ground.
