Selenicereus ‘Rainbow’

Selenicereus (syn. Hylocereus) 'Rainbow' is a dragon fruit with ever changing skin colours and magenta-red flesh.

Selenicereus (syn. Hylocereus) ‘Rainbow’ is an exciting dragon fruit hybrid valued for its ever changing skin that is first yellow and orange ripening to red with yellow fin-like scales. The sweet flesh is magenta-red with crunchy black seeds. The fruit is produced from gorgeous, white, fragrant, night-blooming flowers. Plants are self-fertile though hand pollination is recommended. Also pollination by another cultivar may increase fruit set. A cool houseplant with the potential for delicious edible fruit.
