Sedum ‘Thundercloud’ offers great texture and foliage appeal with handsome, gray green, highly serrated leaves on short, compact plants to ten inches tall. Plants emerge as tight succulent mounds in spring with stems elongating into flat topped flower heads of countless small white to soft pink flowers in summer. Upright stonecrops are useful nearly year round: mounds of succulent new growth in early spring, structural upright clumps through summer, heads of showy flower heads in late summer and fall, and dried flower stems in winter.
