Saruma henryi is a choice woodlander with heart-shaped, felted leaves and three-petaled, lemon yellow flowers.

Saruma henryi is a choice woodland plant from China known as upright wild ginger, that emerges in spring with heart-shaped, felted, greyish green leaves with chocolatey overtones and a silver sheen. The three-petaled, lemon yellow flowers are centred with deep orange-yellow stamens and open with the emerging foliage. The two foot tall and wide clumps remain as an attractive presence through the season until fall.
